Ella Jay

 

Ella is a Sydney-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and composer, known for crafting immersive and genre-defying music that spans pop, cinematic, classical, and electronic realms. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a BMus in Performance, she tours globally on both piano and cello, with a dynamic career that bridges the worlds of live performance, studio production, and original composition.

Ella has performed at major events such as the ARIA Awards and Splendour in the Grass with Hilltop Hoods, and toured or recorded with world-renowned artists including Hans Zimmer, Josh Groban, Lana Del Rey, Robbie Williams, Missy Higgins, Kygo, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, Pete Murray, and Peking Duk. She’s also appeared on national television, including The Voice, Australia’s Got Talent, and morning shows across the country.

As a session musician and arranger, Ella has contributed to projects for Gang of Youths, Baby Animals, and numerous film scores. Her solo work includes a loop-based live act blending original music with inventive covers, and a recently released EP that showcases her passion for rich textures, emotional storytelling, and sonic exploration. Whether on stage or in the studio, her work is rooted in connection, experimentation, and a deep love for musical collaboration.
